Ozempic: Slim at What Cost?

The surge in popularity of Ozempic, and similar drugs such as Wegovy and Mounjaro, has skyrocketed. But it isn’t just the monetary price tag that’s high. Along with the seemingly magic weight loss, comes a host of reports of medical problems.

Originally designed for individuals with type 2 diabetes, Ozempic has taken off for its off-label use as a weight loss medication. However, there’s been a recent slew of claims from people using Ozempic and other GLP-1 drugs involving negative side effects and other health issues from vomiting and incontinence to intestinal blockage and stomach paralysis, some of which require surgical intervention.
